Christening Blankets

Christening Blankets:  With as much designing and manufacturing experience as I have, I can’t help but tell myself, I should have known betterL.  We have gone through months of planning, designing and choosing a manufacturer, for what I could feel was an awesome blanket.  We have found that our design was too much for the manufacturer to handle, the scallops proved to be a total nightmare, nearly impossible to sew on a hemstitch machine and even more difficult to do, the rolled hem around the edge.  To those of you that have been waiting for the Christening blanket to be available, I have to apologize for the wait, and now, after months of waiting we have come to the conclusion that, doing the hemstitching and the rolled hem on a scalloped edge would increase the price of the blanket by almost one third; needless to say, I had to make an executive decision based on the following options: one, we can call our clients and tell them the price is higher on the Christening blankets because of the scalloped edge, or two, we can forget the scallops and make it a regular blanket and lower the price.  Because of the economic situation that many families find themselves in, I have chosen the second option, our Christening blankets will not have the scallops, it will be a regular 36” blanket, the price is now $28.95, a dollar less than our printed flannels, well, because is a solid white flannel we can sell it for a dollar less.  We hope you will still find it beautiful and will be excited to work on it and put a beautiful edge around it.  If you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know.  We are now shipping all four new designs, Flower Burst, King of the Jungle, Christening and Green Dots and Gingham.
